• Environmental Impact Assessment case against the UK government will be held on 22 June at 9:30 a.m. - this is a notification by the European Court of Justice summarising the pending case. There is also a link to our original submission (L8). Although this case will not have a direct effect on proceedings in the Stakeholders' Forum for Crystal Palace, it could, and probably already does, put a greater responsibility on government authorities for ensuring that full EIAs are properly conducted as required.

• MAIN GROUP MEETING RECORD - December 2004:- A large group of local people, councillors, amenity groups etc. met at the end of last year to deliberate on the findings of the Working Group of the Stakeholders' Forum. A tremendous impetus in Park activities has been generated by the possible building of a new sports centre. The athletics track had already been refurbished for the London Games (and the Youth Games) and there is a prospect that Crystal Palace may play some role in the London Olympics as a training centre or host to an Olympic team. This meeting discussed the results of the LDA consultation exercise and the future organisation of the working method of the Stakeholders Forum - a new, streamlined Task Group has been proposed and accepted by the Main Group. The exact constitution of this group is to be discussed at the next Working Group meeting at the end of this month.
